A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

How It All Began

Photography has always been my quiet refuge—a place where I can step into my own little world and come out having created something meaningful. I could go into my own little world and come out on the other side having created something special and unique.

There was never a specific moment where I became a photographer; it was more like a slow unfolding. As a child, I would imagine that my eyes could take pictures if I blinked just right. I’d squint toward the light and pretend to capture the little things that made my heart stir—my dog running toward me with his toy, raindrops on the car window, the mountain view after a long Colorado vacation hike. Little Brooklyn wished so badly that her eyes would become cameras and she could capture every fleeting moment.

Whenever my parent’s video or film camera was out, I would be the one to want to be behind the camera to capture the details and behind the scenes — I just wanted to remember it all.

That same heart remains at the center of my work today. Photography is my way of worshiping the God who created it all. The way I see it, He’s the true artist—I’m just honoring His masterpiece through still frames.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

My sessions are unhurried, heart-pounding, and full of warmth. I approach every shoot with curiosity, calmness, and intentionality.

More than anything, I want you to feel safe and seen. I want your session to feel like a fun date—playful, relaxed, and full of laughter. Clients often tell me how nervous they were before the shoot, but how quickly they forgot the camera was even there. That’s my sweet spot: when your guard comes down and the real magic shows up.

I’ll guide you gently through the process, help you plan outfits, scout meaningful locations, and build a mood board to reflect your vision. I pay close attention to light, emotion, and composition—but never at the expense of your comfort. Your story leads everything.

What Inspires Me

Inspiration finds me in many places—

In friends’s stories or strangers walking down the street. In old films and new cinema. In albums covers and art filled magazines. In beautiful museums and sculptures.

In the dance between light and shadow. In my faith in the Lord.

I believe photography is a gift from God—an invitation to mirror His creativity through both the sacred and the ordinary. His fingerprints are everywhere, and I see them most clearly in people—in the way they love, move, and simply exist. My work is just a response to that wonder.

A few visual influences that shaped my art throughout my life:

As a child I loved The Secret Garden, Indian in the Cupboard, A Little Princess, and Prince of Egypt; they felt so imaginative and made me want to live in the movie. As I’ve grown up I’ve been enthralled by the visuals and stories of Midnight in Paris, 1917, Inception, Severance, Peaky Blinders.

Some of my favorite photographers and painters that I draw from are Ansel Adams, India Earl, Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Georgia I’Keefe, and Salvador Dalí.

Even non-visuals have shaped my creativity; music impacts a person’s soul in such a profound and emotional way. Classical music does it for me; my most listened to scores are Palladio by Karl Jenkins, Schindler's List by John Williams, and Four Seasons No. 2 by Antonio Vivaldi.

When I’m Not Behind the Camera

When I’m not photographing beautiful stories, you can find me with my two cats—Mona and Pablo (yes, named after the Mona Lisa and Pablo Picasso). I’m either full homebody or in adventure mode; often curled up journaling, reading my Bible, or composing slow mornings with coffee and quiet time or planning my next trip either local or coastal planning out all the fun details.

Sundays is for family time at my parents’ house: barefoot walks around their land, shooting hoops in their driveway, and picking out a movie to watch together after dinner. In the warmer months, I’m swimming in a lake, thrifting for treasures, tanning on my rooftop, going on downtown walks, or dining at my favorite Omaha gem, La Buvette, with friends.

My walk with God is ever-evolving—sometimes quiet and full of questions, sometimes loud and full of joy—but always growing. My time with Him gives me kinder eyes, a softened heart, and renewed perspective for each person I encounter.

Sound Like a Good Fit?

If you’re drawn to storytelling that feels cinematic, nostalgic, and deeply meaningful, you’re in the right place. I book a limited number of weddings and sessions per year so I can pour fully into each one. Your story deserves presence, care, and intention—and that’s exactly what I promise to give.

Let’s create something timeless, together.
