Venue Spotlight: Bohemian Gardens — A Hidden Gem in Downtown Omaha
If you’re dreaming of a wedding venue in Omaha that feels like a secret garden in the middle of the city, Bohemian Gardens might just be the one. This is hands-down my favorite spot in downtown Omaha to photograph weddings, and once you step foot here, you’ll see why.
A Private Oasis Tucked into the City
Bohemian Gardens is full of quiet charm—lush greenery, historic architecture, and a cozy layout that somehow feels both intimate and expansive. It’s close to some of Omaha’s best downtown bars and parks, yet once you’re inside the venue gates, it feels like you’ve been transported somewhere far more romantic and private. I often describe it as a hidden gem, and I mean that sincerely.
Rich History Meets Modern Celebration
This space was originally a Czechoslovakian dance hall back in the late 1800s before becoming a popular restaurant and bar. Later, it was turned into a private home—so there’s a real sense of soul and legacy here. Today, the venue blends that rich past with fresh, creative energy. There’s still visible original architecture—stone, tile, and tons of warm brick textures—that give your day an old-world, artful feel.
My First Time Shooting Here
The first wedding I photographed at Bohemian Gardens was for Caleb and Gina in October 2024. The autumn leaves were turning, string lights glowed in the trees, and the love was vibrate between the couple and all their people. The whole day felt relaxed, personal, and beautifully tucked away from the hustle of the city.
Why I Recommend This Venue to My Couples
I love working at venues where the staff cares as deeply about the couple’s experience as I do. Jeff (the owner) is one of the hardest-working and most down-to-earth people I’ve met in the Omaha wedding world. Rachel, the coordinator (who also owns Noa Brides across the street!), is kind, professional, and a dream to collaborate with. They’ve built a team and a space that welcomes everyone—vendors included.
